I've lived in 4 countries and I'm used to using a translator app and things being difficult but this was a really disappointing and disheartening experience. When I enquired about if they spoke English I was told at reception they don't but the Dr did. I made an appointment a specific time for an in person assessment only to find it was a general time period where anyone can show up to be seen so had to wait a while. The lady I was then called to see didn't speak any English so despite my disappointment we used translator apps. I don't know if it was the way she spoke but the translations that came back really made no sense at all most of the time. I said I was told the Dr spoke English but she said there was no Dr there and no one spoke English. I also felt I wasn't being listened to in terms of what I wanted and the lady was being guided by what everyone else wants rather than what would suit me. I just wanted very close to my current hairline but thicker, and not the almost straight lines they seem intent on giving you (they make the front line with small triangles to be more natural which I understand but going straight with that across the head is wrong for me). All of this put together left me feeling too uncomfortable that this was place was going to be reliable enough to do this for me. For locals it's probably fine but the language barrier and attention to the customer at this clinic is too problematic for this kind of work for foreigners in my opinion.

I travelled a total of 30 hours from Canada to Brazil just for this procedure and was extremely happy to do so. The team had a lot of experience and treated me extremely well. They performed a maximum amount of extractions this time and covered the whole top of my head. This was a very time consuming surgery and they were very patient and careful the whole time. This was a dream of mine that I realized yesterday thanks to Clínica Matarazzo. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏🏼❤️

I highly recommend Matarazzo for your hair transplant. I just got mine done with them. I live in California, so I flew down for this. I made a trip out of it too. For the price of a hair transplant in California, you go on 5 surf trips to Rio and leave with a hair transplant! From the beginning of our communication, which was months in advance, they were responsive, helpful, flexible, patient and kind. During the procedure, it was very clear that each of them—the doctors, the nurses, and the staff—were individually compassionate and professionally accommodating. As far as surgeries go, it went very smoothly. It was about what I expected after months of research. I am currently writing this review mere hours after leaving their office and I feel fine—great even. I was expecting a much more uncomfortable evening, even considering that my head is indeed tender. I’d come back for another one if I ever were to do that.

I had my FUE procedure done a year ago, January 2023. I wanted to wait for the 100% final results to show prior to writing this review. I’m beyond happy and with the results of my procedure. The whole process was straight forward, from my first communication with their office via WhatsApp, the procedure itself, and the follow-ups also via WhatsApp. They offer a flat rate for everyone with max follicles transplant . It’s the best valeu. Their clinic is located in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. Everyone in the US should check this place out prior to committing to other clinics abroad.

Great experience, all the techs, nurses, doctors and front desk people were amazing, i don’t have words that can describe how great the whole team was. This is something i have always wanted to have done and i am glad i could find a qualified clinic that delivers and outstanding service and treats all the customers very well.
